Training to be a business administrator

With us since 2015

For me, it was clear that I first wanted to acquire some practical experience after completing my secondary school education. I opted to train as a business administrator because this vocation offers me lots of prospects. I am very interested in fashion and trends and I have been fascinated by the THOMAS SABO brand ever since I was a teenager, particularly the Charm Club Collection. This made choosing the right apprenticing company so much easier. I am captivated by both the product and the overall package with its entrancing lifestyle, the elaborately designed shops and the international sales structure for which the brand stands. In my training, I am now learning what happens behind the scenes and how these activities correlate.

"I feel that I am being very well supported."

My tasks

During my three-year business administrator apprenticeship at the company headquarters in Lauf an der Pegnitz, I will be actively working in numerous processes and departments at THOMAS SABO. I will be switching departments every six weeks on average and will consequently have the opportunity to get to know the entire company and many different people, while supporting them in their tasks and work. Furthermore, we help the Wholesale department to put on road shows and with marketing activities for promotions and present our company at training fairs.

What I like about THOMAS SABO

My training at THOMAS SABO is incredibly diverse and I feel that I am being very well supported. This is above all down to the varied work that THOMAS SABO offers as a company. Furthermore, I have a permanent contact person within each department, somebody I can talk to at all times. During the accompanying block teaching at the Trade Academy in Nuremberg, I take courses in labour law, financial accounting, retail marketing, procurement and logistics. This combination of practical training and schooling makes my training the perfect springboard for a career in business. Together with the other trainees and our coaches, we also take part in regular activities – such as joint excursions and trainee meetings – and also attend concerts.

My motivation

This is above all the fantastic collaboration with the other trainees and our well-defined team spirit. Although I sometimes find it challenging to reconcile all tasks within the departments with preparing for exams at the academy, I absolutely love my training at THOMAS SABO. This training will not only decisively influence my career start, I am also forming friendships and acquiring experience.

What I’m proud of

That I am training with an inspiring company that offers great prospects of being offered employment after completing my training at THOMAS SABO.
