Following my more than twelve-year career in specialist retail sales at THOMAS SABO spent in various positions, I am now responsible for the national and international business development of our global sales. In addition to team management, my area of responsibility therefore includes the development and implementation of sales strategies and targets. Through regular contact with our international locations, I also work on a very international level.
On the one hand, this is down to my training as a wholesale and export clerk and, on the other hand, also because of my personal interests that are reflected in my job. In addition to my vocational training, I studied history and politics, speak four languages and have always been a passionate traveller. My professional dream of working in an international and networked manner while simultaneously gathering new experience every day is something that I now practise as a result of the global character of sales at THOMAS SABO and the open values of the company.
There are three things. I like the international character of the company. Our collections are very diverse and appeal to customers worldwide. For my team and me personally, this means daily collaboration with many different countries and cultures across the globe – from Europe, America, Asia and South Africa all the way through to Australia. Secondly, the speed with which we react to trends and approach things is truly fascinating to me. Most of all, it is the entrepreneurial willingness of the management that again and again is able to impress me and surprise me with innovative product ranges and marketing concepts.
I want to learn new things every day within the context of my projects. I am motivated by challenges that develop my team and inspire our partners throughout the world with the THOMAS SABO jewellery and watch designs.
When I see our collections being perfectly presented to and by our specialist retail partners, distributors and trading agencies in a new market for the first time. Furthermore, I’m proud of our authentic and powerful brand, which is characterised by the company founder Thomas Sabo and to whose success I am able to contribute.
In addition to leading various teams and developing employees, my work above all involves a lot of travel and conducting discussions aimed at inspiring our wholesale partners and building and maintaining relationships. But also looking at, and responding to the developments and sales figures in our markets with my teams.
In the future, I would like to continue embedding the positive and personal aspects of the THOMAS SABO image within the global sector, providing the brand with a face in the process. Together with my team, my aim is to continue the success story of the THOMAS SABO brand by acquiring new customers and maintaining the relationships with existing ones.
Those wearing an item of THOMAS SABO jewellery are making a personal statement. And so are those working for us. Around 1,800 colleagues (status: 2018) have made the THOMAS SABO Group what it is today: one of the most innovative international lifestyle brands. We create, market and distribute our jewellery and watches collections ourselves and therefore offer a broad range of professions and career paths.
