Christian Hettinger

Head of Business Development Supply Chain

With us since 2009

For me, it is important that I do not have a conventional nine-to-five desk job. For this reason, I decided on a career in logistics early on. Among other things, I have developed my knowledge in this area with a part-time business administration degree course and ultimately also through my many years of practical experience with logistics. I find the constantly changing tasks appealing – ranging from controlling operational logistics processes and IT all the way through to strategic issues. The THOMAS SABO logistics department offers many interesting positions, several of which I have had the privilege of having done since starting with the company back in 2009.

My tasks

For me, it is important that I do not have a conventional nine-to-five desk job. For this reason, I decided on a career in logistics early on. Among other things, I have developed my knowledge in this area with a part-time business administration degree course and ultimately also through my many years of practical experience with logistics. I find the constantly changing tasks appealing – ranging from controlling operational logistics processes and IT all the way through to strategic issues. The THOMAS SABO logistics department offers many interesting positions, several of which I have had the privilege of having done since starting with the company back in 2009.

What I like about THOMAS SABO

Working for a globally-active lifestyle company operating on an international level. As a result of the new company headquarters opened in 2016, THOMAS SABO showcases itself as an important employer and an interesting apprenticing company within the Central Franconia region. Within the logistics centre in Lauf an der Pegnitz, we have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology within an extremely attractive working environment.

My motivation

In our department, we all rely on each other – 100 percent! Because this is the only way that we can guarantee punctual delivery and the best possible service for our partners and customers. Following a challenging working day, I love sports and often come up with the best ideas for my projects while running.

What I’m proud of

I’m proud of my personal further development within the company and of making a contribution to the success of the THOMAS SABO brand during my many years at the company.
